President's Circle
The President's Circle is a Patron level giving campaign, for those who contribute $1000 or more a year to Pacific Opera Victoria. Our leading philanthropists, who give $10,000 or more within a year are members of The Impresario Circle
Pacific Opera Victoria is incredibly blessed with a wonderful audience and committed supporters, whose encouragement and assistance enables us to achieve new levels of artistic excellence each season. Our approach of "building opera from the ground up" allows for greater creativity within the art form itself, and provides enhanced opportunities for the wonderful artists who work in opera. This uniquely creative approach has also allowed us to cultivate a sophisticated audience for opera that is, per capita, two to five times larger than that of any other city in Canada!
The 2009-10 season has marked a true milestone for POV: our expansion to four operas per year enables us to bring more opera to Victoria, and delve even deeper into over 400 years of opera repertoire. That fourth annual production will also provide more opportunities for Canadian singers, directors, designers and conductors, and offer more employment for the Victoria Symphony, the POV Chorus, and our talented scenic artists. In short, this is a huge step for us – one that will bring great benefit to the entire cultural community.
These developments are built on strong community support. We are keenly aware and extremely grateful that our President's Circle members are our most essential partners in achieving our artistic and institutional goals.
