Experience the joy of a live performance by five of Canada's finest emerging professional singers.
Pacific Opera Victoria's Resident Artist Program returns with outreach concerts in Nanaimo and Sidney, featuring favourites from the operatic repertoire, including excerpts from Bizet's Carmen. Please note that both concerts are now full. But you will be able to see these artists in POV's production of Carmen.
The concerts in Nanaimo and Sidney will feature Principal Coach and pianist Robert Holliston, who will also introduce the musical selections to be performed by POV's Resident Artists: Dominique Côté, Riccardo Iannello, Miriam Khalil, Andrew Love and Sylvia Szadovszki, who all have roles in POV's mainstage production of Carmen. .Pacific Opera is proud to share these enjoyable evenings of top notch musical entertainment and informative dialogue with Vancouver Island residents.

Pacific Opera's community series: INSIDE OPERA with Robert Holliston allows us to share even more of each original POV production. This FREE opera preview, hosted by POV's Principal Coach Robert Holliston allows more people – seniors, students, truly anyone – to explore POV's productions, whether they have opera tickets or not. Subscribers can bring friends, and it's all free. Just call to reserve.
Due to popular demand we have introduced a second session of INSIDE Opera. The two sessions – at 10 am and at noon – are free of charge, but space is limited and reservations required. Reserve your seat and specify your preferred time by phoning 250-382-1641 or emailing . Please specify which session (10 am or noon) you prefer.
INSIDE OPERA takes place at the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall, MacLaurin Building, School of Music, at the University of Victoria. Parking is free on Sundays. For directions and parking information, see the UVic Campus Map
