We invite our patrons to learn more about the proposed changes to arts funding by the province of British Columbia.
The Professional Arts Alliance of Greater Victoria (ProArt), of which Pacific Opera Victoria is a member, has created an Arts Advocacy Toolkit, with information on the profound impact of the BC Government's recent cuts to the arts and the cultural and financial value the arts bring to the province. If you would like to learn more or write a letter in support of the arts in British Columbia please download the toolkit.
On October 7, 2009, representatives of ProArt made presentations to the province of British Columbia's Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services.
