POV's production of Falstaff is a perfect celebration of Verdi's 200th birthday, of our own 100th production, and of all things Shakespeare!
Through September and October, our celebration will spill into the community with a marvellous potpourri of events called Shakespeare Onstage-Offstage.

Ticket holders for each opera performance are invited to arrive early and hear an entertaining introduction to the evening's opera. Robert Holliston, our genial and erudite guide chats about the composer, the opera, and the music. A delightful introduction to your evening`s experience!
Each pre-show lecture takes place in the west lobby of the Royal Theatre, beginning one hour before curtain. The lecture is free to ticket holders for the evening`s performance. No reservations are required. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
