FOUR GREAT OPERAS – TWO GREAT THEATRES
POV is delighted to return to the McPherson Playhouse for the world premiere of Mary's Wedding in November 2011. The McPherson offers an intimate setting perfect for Mary's Wedding, and features comfortable new seats. While the McPherson is a smaller theatre than the Royal, both theatres have similar configurations which will allow us to provide seats as similar as possible to those our subscribers have now.
The 2011-12 season's other operas, The Flying Dutchman, Carmen and Maria Stuarda, are all at the Royal Theatre.
NEW PERFORMANCE DATES
We have made some changes to our performance schedule this season to accommodate the growing demand for weekend performances, and to offer our matinée on a more convenient day and time.
What do these changes mean for you?
- A Sunday Matinée with an earlier start time, meaning better ferry connections and a more convenient dinner time
- Street parking is FREE after 6 pm and on Sundays. This means every single opera performance now has free street parking!
- An additional weekend performance. You can now choose from performances on Friday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday afternoon, as well as two weekday (Wednesday and Thursday) performances ... to accommodate any schedule!
