Marianne Lambert makes her debut with Pacific Opera Victoria in the role of Clorinda in POV's fall 2010 production of Rossini's Cinderella.
Coloratura soprano Marianne Lambert was the first prize winner at the 2008 Concours international de chant de Marmande.
Her engagements for the 2009-10 season included la Belle Étoile in L'eau qui danse, la pomme qui chante et l'oiseau qui dit la vérité (Chants Libres), Marie-Anne in Ô mon bel inconnu (Opéra de Metz), a recital in Perpignan, France, la fée in Cendrillon (L'Opéra de Montréal), and Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann (FestivalOpéra de Saint-Eustache).
Other recent appearances include the role of Marie-Anne in Ô mon bel inconnu (Opéra de Rennes, December 2008), Despina in Così fan tutte (Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal, March 2008), the third witch in Macbeth (February 2009), the Quebec tour of Trois sopranos… et leurs divos (Conseil des arts de Montréal). During the summer of 2009 she was guest soloist with l'Orchestre métropolitain and l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (Knowlton Festival).
A member of l'Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal from 2007 to 2009, Marianne Lambert has appeared in a number of productions: Stella (La fille du Tambour Major), Clarice (Il mondo della luna), l'agent de bord (Prochain départ), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute with Jeunesses Musicales of Canada), Hélène (Une éducation manquée) as part of a CVAI session in Montreal, as well as in The Fairy Queen, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Exercices de styles.
Showing a keen interest in contemporary music, she attended a special program conducted by Pauline Vaillancourt, was a soloist in the Luigi Nono Festival in 2007, and recently recorded Michel Gonneville's Hohzro.
She has been awarded grants from the Charles-Emile Gadbois and George-Cedric Ferguson foundations, the Jeunesses Musicales of Canada, l'Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal, the Conseil des Arts du Quebec, as well as la foundation Jacqueline Desmarais. She was a winner of the Sinfonia de Lanaudière's Mozart Competition, Orchestre Symphonique de Trois-Rivières Competition and the winner of the Marmande International Competition.
She was also chosen as a Jeune Ambassadeur Lyrique for three consecutive years, and was the 2007 Sponsored Young Artist for the International Josef-Traxel Society for the Vocal Arts. In 2006, she completed her Master's at l'Université de Montréal.
