Pacific Opera Victoria is pleased to announce chorus and comprimario role auditions for the 2016-2017 season, which will include Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, Mozart's The Magic Flute, and Kevin March's Les Feluettes.
The auditions will take place in Wingate Studio at the Baumann Centre (925 Balmoral Rd) on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 7 to 9 pm.
Interested singers are encouraged to send a musical résumé and a recent headshot to .. Audition confirmation will be communicated via email.
Candidates should prepare two contrasting selections that demonstrate secure musicianship and an aptitude for performance. Although not a requirement, we strongly encourage applicants to memorize their selections and prepare at least one in a language other than English. A pianist will be provided, or you may bring your own.

Members of the POV Chorus receive an honorarium per production, two complimentary tickets to the opening night of the show they are involved in, invitations to special events and receptions, and exclusive access to a curriculum of stagecraft workshops, vocal clinics, individual coachings, and masterclasses with visiting artists.
